 2026 In-person Certified Pool Operator Classes

In Georgia, public swimming pools, spas, and recreational parks must be maintained under the supervision and direction of a properly trained operator who shall be responsible for the sanitation, safety, and proper maintenance of the pool and all related equipment, and for daily recordkeeping.

GNR Public Health is offering two-day in-person certified pool operator classes this year on the following dates:

March 26 & 27, 2026
April 16 & 17, 2026 (Rescheduled from April 23 & 24, 2026. No classes will be held on April 23 & 24, 2026.)

Classes are held from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM at Gwinnett Environmental Health Office, 455 Grayson Highway, Suite 600, in Lawrenceville, GA. Class participants should bring a calculator. The fee for the class is $390 and is payable upon registration. The health department must have a minimum of five participants to hold the class.

Interested individuals must register in-person at the Gwinnett Environmental Health office. For questions about the class, please call 770.963.5132 between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
