At-Home Vaccinations

Seniors and people who are homebound
can now get vaccinated at home

GNR Public Health’s at-home vaccination program makes it easy for homebound people and seniors living in Newton and Rockdale counties to receive recommended vaccines, including seasonal vaccines such as flu, COVID-19, and RSV.

If you or someone you know has a medical condition that makes it unsafe or impractical to leave home without significant assistance, supportive devices, or special transportation, in-home vaccination is a great way to stay up to date on immunizations, without putting yourself at risk.

The visit and vaccines are provided at low- or, sometimes, no-cost to patients, and vaccines are administered by a registered nurse. If insurance is available, the Health Department bills the insurance company. Financial assistance programs may also be available.

Once you submit a request, a nurse will call you within 3-4 business days to discuss the program, determine your eligibility, and schedule your vaccines. Vaccines available for home administration are subject to change.

This program is being piloted to residents of Rockdale and Newton counties at this time. Please check back for updates.
